Sam serves as the Director of Emergency Services – Training & Response at the J, where he has been a dedicated member of the community for over a decade. What began as a lifeguarding position in 2013 has grown into a career centered on safety, youth development, and empowering others with life-changing skills.

As a certified American Red Cross instructor, Sam leads training programs in Babysitter's Training, First Aid/CPR/AED, and Lifeguarding, among others. He also brings hands-on emergency care experience as a trained Advanced EMT, giving him a real-world perspective that he loves translating into approachable, confidence-building instruction for young people.

Sam is passionate about meeting participants where they are - making certification training feel less like a classroom and more like an experience worth having. He believes that every young person who walks away from the Future Babysitters Camp leaves not just with credentials, but with a genuine sense of capability and purpose.
