Ages: (Preschool Camp) Ages 2 - 4
We hope your preschooler is ready for a summer filled with exploration and discovery!

Our campers spend the summer engaged in experiential art, planting and tasting in the garden, developing self-help skills, building lifelong friendships, and so much more. They have the support of our amazing preschool educators and summer staff. Each session of camp features a different Jewish value focus with fun weekly themes woven in to enhance learning.

Cool things happening this summer!

Throughout the week campers have special activities built into their schedule. These include Movement with Suzi, process art in our outdoor atelier, and a "Messy Monday" sensory play opportunity on the naturescape. We also bring in a special guest each Friday to bring some joy and magic to our non-swim days. Some of our past (and anticipated future) guests include The Creature Teacher, Dallas Public Library, puppet shows, BubbleVibez, and more.

Danielle is excited to return for her second year as Camp Simchah Director. During the school year, she is a valued member of the pedagogical team, overseeing the 2s age level. With over 10 years of classroom teaching experience—including time at Akiba Yavneh Academy and in New York City while earning her Master’s degree in Developmental Psychology from Columbia University—Danielle brings both expertise and heart to camp.
A Dallas native, Danielle has deep roots at the JCC. Having grown up on campus and watched her own family experience the magic of camp, she loves being part of a tradition that spans generations. She looks forward to a summer filled with fun, connection, and unforgettable memories for every camper.

Betina joined the team in February 2026 and serves as the Coordinator of JNurture, as well as a member of the preschool pedagogical team during the school year. This is her first year as Camp Simchah Director.
With over 30 years of experience in early childhood education and a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies, Betina brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her role. Originally from Argentina, her connection to camp began as a camper herself and continued as her four children experienced camp life. Betina is dedicated to creating joyful, meaningful summer experiences and helping each child make the most of these special months.
